Nestled in the oak-studded grassland east of Hellyer County Park lies a unique sport, Disc Golf. You think disc golf -what is it? Well, disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, players use a flying disc or Frisbee. Like traditional golf, the object of the game is to complete a hole in the fewest number of throws. The player starts out by throwing from a tee location toward the hole, then again (and again, and again). Trees, shrubs and natural terrain variations provide challenges and frustrations common to traditional golf.

Directions From Highway 101 South:
1. Take the Hellyer Ave exit - 0.3 mi
2. Turn right at Hellyer Ave - 0.1 mi
3. Turn left to stay on Hellyer Ave - 0.2 mi
4. Turn left at Palisade Dr - 0.4 mi
5. Turn left at Coyote Rd - 0.7 mi

Directions from Highway 85 South:
1. Merge onto CA-87 N toward Downtown San Jose - 1.7 mi
2. Take exit 1 toward Capitol Expwy Auto Mall - 0.2 mi
3. Keep right at fork, follow signs for Capitol Expy and merge onto
     Narvaez Ave - 0.2 mi
4. Turn left at W Capitol Expy - 1.7 mi
5. Turn right at Seven Trees Blvd - 0.5 mi
6. Turn left at Senter Rd - 0.6 mi
7. Turn right at Coyote Rd - 1.2 mi

When: Saturday, May 17th (NOTE Date Change)

Time: 9:45-Noon (Orientation at 10:00)

La Raza (new course) has offstreet parking, running water, bathrooms,
and picnic tables.

Drinks will be provided.

Bring sunscreen.
